Maritime Policy Executive Charles Costanzo Joins Curtin Maritime!
Long Beach, CA. 06/05/2024: Curtin Maritime is pleased to announce that Charles Costanzo, an expert in maritime law and policy, has joined the company in a policy and planning role focused on augmenting the company’s government affairs and advocacy efforts.
From 2010, Costanzo served as the General Counsel and Vice President – Pacific Region for the American Waterways Operators, the national trade association for the tugboat and barge industry. In that role, he advocated on behalf of AWO members who operated on navigable waters on the U.S. West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii with regard to federal, state and local issues. Prior to his tenure with AWO, he worked as an attorney specializing in environmental and regulatory matters.
From October 2021, he was Executive Director of the Puget Sound Pilots (PSP). At PSP, he managed the 56-pilot association and oversaw day-to-day operations including accounting and finance, safety and regulatory matters, marketing and communications, and operations.
