The Curtin Maritime Accelerator Program (CMAP)
Curtin Maritime offers a hands-on, personalized approach to maritime training and career progression, guiding the team to navigate their passions, via on-the-job training through the Curtin Maritime Accelerator Program (CMAP).
CMAP supports career opportunities for skilled tradespeople including; deckhands, welders, engineers, mates, crane operators, and Captains. Curtin Maritime offshore careers include opportunities within marine construction, marine transportation, dredging, offshore tows, and other highly specialized work in the marine industry. Curtin Maritime shipyard careers are responsible for maintaining Curtin Maritime’s growing fleet and building the next generation of innovative and green vessels.
The Curtin Maritime Accelerator Program (CMAP) has been developed to serve employees who are interested in a career in the maritime industry.
• CMAP begins with the ‘Curtin Heart Check’. Employees then navigate through a rigorous, self-led training program, taking anywhere from four weeks to six months to complete.
• Curtin Maritime provides a hands-on, personalized approach to maritime training and career progression, guiding the team to navigate their passions, via on-the-job training through CMAP.
• CMAP develops operational readiness and provides employees with an opportunity to build both foundational and advanced skills necessary to become highly-trained maritime professionals for skilled tradespeople including; deckhands, welders, engineers, mates, crane operators, or Captains. CMAP also teaches new Curtin Maritime employees about the ‘Curtin’ way.
