Brittan Industries requested Curtin Maritime to provide ocean towing services to support Brittan during their contract to dredge the Army Corps docks in Sausalito, California. Curtin Maritime mobilized our Long Beach-based tugboat, Sarah C, to Sausalito in order to provide around the clock support to our customer. While there, CMC was responsible for towing a 300 yard scow to and from the Alcatraz dump site, dumping approximately eleven scows a day without any delay or incidents during the entirety of the job.
With heavy recreational boat traffic and a very narrow channel surrounding the job site, the environment was not always conducive to progress and efficiency, despite the hazards Curtin Maritime was able to push through and perform with the level of integrity and excellence our company is known for.
