The Pinole project was Curtin Maritime’s second dredging project performed for the USACE and first for the San Francisco district. The strong currents in the Pinole channel made for tough barge moves and our skilled Captains were put to the test. Shifting sand waves on the channel bottom and bad weather made for a tough dig. Excellent coordination with the survey team and the deployment of a drag beam for those stubborn high spots had this project was completed successfully and on time.
